Do not be the Eeyore in your child's life. "I can't do anything right." "I'm always dropping things." "Momma doesn't fit into any of her clothes anymore." Not only is this depressing to their spirit as well as yours but you are giving your child something to emulate even when you think it's ok because you're only talking about yourself. But self denigration is just as easy to pick up on as your cheerfulness. And which would you rather see your child emulate? Think of how you use your tongue. Is it to degrade someone (including yourself) or is it to encourage them? My take away: Stop thinking about yourself and how everything effects you. Think more about how things effect your child (and husband). How will you show them the proper Christian response?
