"Are you an optimist, pessimist, or realist?" I find I'm getting tired of this question. For a time, not that long ago, I called myself a realist. That is until my smart husband made me think about it and come to the conclusion that the question that should be asked is, "Are you trusting God?"
Are you labeling your attitude because you want an excuse to have an attitude?
Are you resting in God for the things you need and being joyful for the things you have?
Are you trusting Him to answer your prayers, watch over your children, and care about the world we live in?

trite annoyances a blessing?

Matthew 16:26 "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?"
We get so comfortable in our own little worlds- the little world we create for ourselves with all of our comfort foods and comfort things- that when we have trying times our just trite annoyances we raise our voices to God: "Do you love me?". Perhaps He is blessing you with these moments. Because He loves you He doesn't want you to lose your soul.
